There are many ways to learn about Cub Scouting, and to see if you want your son part of one of the greatest programs (and the largest) in America.
- Right here. Finding a web site about local Scouting. Cub Scout Pack 188 is based in Landing, NJ. We are part of Roxbury Township and do a lot of work with our local community to not only promote Scouting, but to build better community relations and teach our Scouts that giving back to community is not only good for the community, but also turning them into a better person for the future.
- Go to the Boys Scout of America web site. A link is provided below for you to click and see what Scouting is about. Also a link is right here. This will open in a new window. These are facts about Scouting, describing the purposes, membership and leadership with Scouting.
- Go to a Cub Scout Pack Meeting. Cub Scout Pack 188 holds monthly meetings. Want to attend one to see what Scouting is all about? Drop an email to information, to get the next meeting date so you can attend one. You are never under any obligation to join Scouting, nor will you be pressured so sign up on the spot. Just come to a meeting and see how much fun we really have.
- Contact a local Boy Scout of America council to see what Cub Scout Pack's are in your area. Cub Scout Pack 188 is part of the Patriots' Path Council. Patriots' Path Council can put you in touch with a Pack that is closest to your town, or a town that you prefer.
If your son is already a Cub Scout, and he recruites a friend, then he gets the Recruiter strip for his shirt, and both he and his friend get a "My Best Friend is a Scout Patch". How?
