A boy who is in the 4th or 5th grade can join Cub Scouts and become a Webelos Scout.  Boys that are in the 5th grade and join, will move onto Boy Scouts in February of the next year after they join.  Boys that are in the 4th grade and join will be a Webelos Scout for 18 months then move onto Boy Scouts.
